Appointments and Cancellations

Please remember to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. You will be responsible for the full session fee if cancellation is less than 24 hours.

The standard session length for psychotherapy is 50 minutes. If you would like to adjust the session length, please discuss this with your therapist in advance to accommodate scheduling.

Cancellations and rescheduled sessions are subject to a full charge if not received at least 24 hours in advance. This is necessary because a time commitment is made exclusively for you. If you are late to a session, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time.

Telehealth Accessibility

‍As a telehealth-only practice, all services are provided via secure video conferencing platforms. It is your responsibility to ensure you have a stable internet connection and a private space for sessions. If technical difficulties arise, the therapist will make reasonable efforts to reconnect or reschedule.


Telephone Accessibility

If you need to contact your therapist between sessions, please leave a voicemail or sent a text. While your therapist may not be immediately available, they will make an effort to return your call within 24 hours. Note that phone calls are not a substitute for therapy sessions.

‍Social Media and Telecommunication

To maintain confidentiality and avoid dual relationships, I do not accept friend or contact requests from current or former clients on social networking platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn). Please discuss any concerns about this policy during your sessions.

Electronic Communication

We do everything we can to maintain any communication between you and Renovation Integrative Health private. While I am available for scheduling or administrative matters via email or text, confidentiality cannot be fully guaranteed for these forms of communication. Please do not use electronic communication to discuss therapeutic content or request emergency assistance.

Teleheath Services and Consent

Services are provided exclusively through telehealth. Under telehealth guidelines:

- You retain the right to withhold or withdraw consent at any time without affecting future care or benefits.
- Confidentiality protections for telehealth sessions are equivalent to in-person sessions.
- You are entitled to access your medical records transmitted during telehealth sessions.
- Dissemination of your identifiable information to other entities will not occur without your consent.
- Potential benefits of telehealth include improved access to care, convenience, and reduced travel costs.
- Potential risks include limited ability to observe non-verbal cues or assess physical conditions.

By agreeing to telehealth services, you acknowledge these benefits and limitations.


‍Minors
‍
If you are a minor, your parents or legal guardians may have the right to access certain information about your therapy. Your therapist will discuss with you what information is appropriate to share and what can remain confidential.

Termination
‍
Ending therapy can be a significant step. A termination process will be discussed to ensure closure. Therapy may also be terminated if:

- You no longer need therapy.
- The therapist determines that the sessions are no longer effective.
- You fail to make payments.
- You do not schedule or attend sessions for three consecutive weeks without prior arrangements.

In such cases, your therapist will provide referrals to other qualified professionals upon request.
